Fact-Checking Methodology

How we research, verify, and publish content. The complete process from topic selection to article updates.

Article Creation Process

๐ŸŽฏ 1. Topic Selection

Selection criteria: prevalence of the misconception, potential harm to health or wellbeing, availability of scientific data for analysis, relevance in the media landscape.

๐Ÿ”ฌ 2. Source Research

Systematic review: PubMed, Cochrane Library, WHO, peer-reviewed journals, meta-analyses. Source priority: systematic reviews > meta-analyses > RCTs > cohort studies > case reports > expert opinions. All sources are clickable and verifiable.

๐Ÿ— 3. Structured Analysis

Every article follows a unified structure: Myth Anatomy (what is claimed) โ†’ Scientific Analysis (what the data says) โ†’ Cognitive Mechanisms (why people believe) โ†’ Critical Counterpoint (arguments against our position) โ†’ Verification Protocol (how the reader can check themselves).

๐Ÿ“Š 4. Evidence Grade

Each article is assigned an evidence rating on a 1-5 scale.

1
No evidence โ€” claim not supported by peer-reviewed research
2
Weak โ€” isolated studies, not replicated
3
Mixed โ€” data both for and against, no consensus
4
Moderate โ€” meta-analyses with caveats, growing consensus
5
Strong โ€” systematic reviews, scientific consensus

๐Ÿค– 5. AI-Core Review

Additional verification using an AI assistant to check logical consistency, identify missed arguments, and assess balance of presentation.

โš–๏ธ 6. Critical Counterpoint

A mandatory block in every article. Contains arguments against our own position, possible limitations of the analysis, and alternative data interpretations. We consider this the key difference from propaganda.

๐Ÿ”„ 7. Publication and Updates

Every article includes publication date and last update date. Articles are updated when significant new data emerges.

๐Ÿ”ง Corrections Policy

We're human, and we make mistakes. If you find a factual error โ€” write to us. We commit to: reviewing every report, correcting confirmed errors with an update note, and never deleting revision history.

๐Ÿ‘ Transparency Principles

โœ“Evidence Grade is assigned by formalized criteria.
โœ“Critical Counterpoint is mandatory โ€” we critique our own position.
โœ“Update date is shown on every article.
โœ“Corrections policy is open and transparent.
